I want to offer my congratulations on a 2nd season and my best wishes for asuccessful festival this coming weekend. What you are offering localfilmmakers is thoughtful and impressive and I've been following yourfestival since I first heard about it while working at the RI InternationalFilm Festival (RIIFF) last year. You are filling a hole that RIIFF and theNewport Film Festival have been ignoring.
I'm very happy to see that you grown since your first year and will continueto showcase local artists.
I left RIIFF last year and am now involved with a new film, music and artsfestival that will happen in April in Providence. I am friends with some ofthe filmmakers that you are working with this year and I'm hopeful that bothour organizations will thrive while seemingly in the shadows of the 2 'big'RI film festivals. I know it is too late for me to offer much support asfar as promotion and email announcements for this year's festival, but sinceyou have connected with RIFC and Motif, you are certainly getting the wordout.
Please feel free to contact me or my organization if there is anything wecan do to help support and promote your film festival in the future. I lookforward to many years of watching both our festivals grow and complimenteach other. I think RI filmmakers and our film audience need us.
